The principle of standardized testing for all students does not align with the core tenets outlined in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). IDEA emphasizes providing a free appropriate public education (FAPE) tailored to meet the individual needs of students with disabilities. This principle allows for specialized instruction and services that ensure students can access educational opportunities effectively.

Additionally, parental involvement is a central aspect of IDEA, ensuring that parents have a voice in the educational decisions affecting their child. Non-discriminatory evaluation is also crucial, as it mandates that assessments used to determine eligibility and educational services for students with disabilities must be fair and accurately reflect their abilities without bias.

In summary, the focus of IDEA is on individualized education and services rather than requiring standardized testing for all students, which can overlook the unique needs of students with disabilities. Therefore, the correct identification of standardized testing as not part of the core principles of IDEA reflects a deeper understanding of the law's objectives.
